Sajid Rahman is the Chairman of Bloom Infrastructure Ltd and a distinguished figure in the investment and banking sectors. As an ex-Managing Director and CEO at Standard Chartered Bank across Bangladesh, Nigeria, and Indonesia, he has a wealth of experience in financial leadership. Currently, he is a General Partner at MyAsia VC Fund, where he has led investments in over 150 companies since 2020, deploying US$ 42 million through a syndicated venture capital fund.
Sajid is also a director and lead local shareholder of Bangladesh’s first grid-connected large wind power plant, in collaboration with the Chinese State Power Investment Corporation – Wuling Power. With 80 MW already deployed and an additional 200 MW in the pipeline, his contributions to renewable energy are significant.
In addition to his professional achievements, Rahman has made personal investments in over 800 startups, ranging from Seed to Series B, with 15+ unicorns and 20 companies valued at over US$ 100 million in his portfolio. He leads a syndicate of 2,600+ limited partners, with a notable 35% of the syndicated companies having female founders.
